Account & data deletion

Last updated: May 19, 2026

This page explains how to request deletion of your Certvo account and the personal data associated with it. The same options apply whether you signed up on the web (certvo.com) or in the Certvo Android / iOS mobile apps.

Certvo is operated by Türkol Yazılım Bilgisayar Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi (Tekirdağ, Türkiye).

Option 1 — Delete from the web app

  1. Sign in at certvo.com/login.
  2. Open Settings → Account.
  3. Click Delete account.
  4. Confirm the destructive action. Your account is deleted immediately and you are signed out.

Option 2 — Delete from the mobile app

  1. Open the Certvo app on your Android or iOS device.
  2. Sign in if you are not already.
  3. Go to the Settings tab.
  4. Tap Account → Delete account.
  5. Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.

Option 3 — Email request

If you cannot access either app (e.g., lost device, forgotten password), email us from the address tied to your Certvo account:

To: support@certvo.com
Subject: Delete account
Body: any additional context you want to share (optional).

We acknowledge within 2 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days, in line with GDPR / KVKK requirements.

What is deleted

  • Account record (name, email, hashed password, phone number, company name)
  • OAuth identifiers tied to your account (e.g., Google Sign-In subject)
  • Sites you added and their scan history
  • Generated screenshots and AI accessibility explanations
  • Push notification tokens registered to your account
  • Team memberships and any pending team invitations you created
  • Subscription identifiers (Paddle subscription ID, Google Play purchase token, Apple original transaction ID)
  • API keys you generated
  • Session tokens (you are signed out everywhere)

What is retained — and why

  • Anonymized aggregate statistics (e.g., total scans run platform-wide per week) — retained indefinitely for service-performance analysis. These cannot be linked back to you.
  • Backup snapshots containing your data — purged on a rolling 30-day cycle.
  • Tax / accounting records (invoices, payment receipts) — retained for the statutory period required by Turkish tax law (10 years for commercial invoices). These contain the minimum information required by law (name, billing address, amount, date) and are not used for any other purpose.
  • Security incident logs tied to fraud or abuse — retained up to 1 year for the integrity of the platform. Removed after that.

Stop subscription billing first

Deleting your Certvo account does not automatically cancel a paid subscription. To prevent further charges:

  • Web subscriptions (Paddle): cancel from Settings → Plan & billing in the web app, or from the Paddle receipt email you received on purchase.
  • Android subscriptions (Google Play): cancel from the Google Play Store → Subscriptions menu.
  • iOS subscriptions (Apple App Store): cancel from Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

If you cancel only the account but not the subscription, Google Play / Apple will continue to bill you. Cancel the subscription first, then delete the account.
